Hello!

Late last year I finally made a decision to start a mail club. I'd been thinking about it for so long and social media and the internet are always encouraging one to just start, get a move on and not to postpone things.

All I was doing was endlessly planning, making lists, and filling my notebook with thoughts and sketches about what it might look like.

And so I researched mail clubs and what artists were doing to give myself some ideas. At the end of all this investigating I discovered that there was no club that I had come across that looked exactly like what I had in mind.

But at least I had a few guidelines about what to offer, and let's face it, what did I have to lose?

So this is what I wanted to achieve. A new theme every month with a lovely print and a chatty letter and extras besides. I wanted the challenge of doing fun topics that I hadn't explored very much using my painting and collage techniques.

Each month I start with the artwork for the following mailout. In fact as soon as the post goes I start on the next theme. Sketches and planning what colours I'd like to use are the first steps.

So after 6 months, I've done a little reckoning and this is the result: I truly LOVE creating for Pink Robin Print Club! My numbers are small for now, but that's ok. If I make it to 50 gorgeous people who love receiving a colourful envelope from me each month then I'll be delighted!

Got to go, I have envelopes to get ready! The July post is about to leave!

Love

Elizabeth

HI there! Yes it really is fun - and using these pieces up that have been languishing in boxes feels great!
